Evaporative Cooling
At just a few cents a day to operate, evaporative cooling is the most economical way to cool your house in hot weather. Fan forced, water cooled air is ducted through the house to provide summer relief. The air flows through your home dragging the hot air with it as it exits your open windows and doors. However you may need to allow for the cost of servicing your cooler every year before summer at around $220.00 for a single story.
Please note:
In most cases the most cost effective forms of whole home cooling (installation and cost of running) are with evaporative ducted air conditioning. But for those people who like a ‘colder’ type of cooling, we’d recommend ducted refrigerated air conditioning as a whole home system, thermostatically controlled and generally zoned (i.e. night and day). This is also a safer option in relation to your home security as you can be in or out of home with all the windows and doors locked.
